BREAST LIFT (MASTOPEXY)

A breast lift involves the surgical correction of ptosis or sagging breasts to restore perkier, more youthful looking breasts. Over the course of time, the skin and soft tissues in the body become looser and often the downward movement of the nipples and breast tissues result in loss of upper pole fullness of the breast.

Breast lift is performed outpatient under general anesthesia and usually takes three to four hours. Recovery time is typically seven to ten days.

THERE ARE SEVERAL TYPES OF BREAST LIFT PROCEDURES AND THEY ARE PERFORMED UNDER GENERAL OR LOCAL ANESTHESIA:
Periareolar

The goal is to elevate the nipple slightly to correct a mile droop and the scar is hidden around the nipple areola.

Vertical (Lollipop)

Addresses the loose skin in the center of the breast to restore a perkier, more youthful looking breast.

Wise Pattern (Anchor)

This procedure is used when there is significant loose skin and nipple drooping. It incorporates both the periareolar and vertical mastopexy procedures. The resulting scar has an inverted T-shaped appearance.
