EAR LIFT (OTOPLASTY)

Otoplasty is indicated for patients with prominent or protruding ears or other deformities. This procedure improves the appearance of the ears by shaping the ear and decreases the size of earlobes while correcting asymmetry. The surgery can be performed under general or local anesthesia and may take two to four hours depending on the extent of correction that is needed.

You will have soft dressings over the ears that may stay in place for several days. Sutures are removed within seven to ten days. You will sleep with protecting bandages for the first two weeks after surgery and you can resume exercising after one month. Swimming is usually allowed after six weeks.
