I am bothered by my love handles and the bulging in my belly after my pregnancies. Should I get liposuction only or a tummy tuck?

Every person is unique and presents with a specific set of physical changes after pregnancy. A personal physical examination and detailed discussion of your goals will help me determine which procedures will most benefit you and give you the results you are seeking. Depending on your needs, a tummy tuck procedure with liposuction may help shape and contour your body for results you will love!

Can I get a mommy makeover without having drains?

Absolutely! That is how I perform my mommy makeover procedures. For my tummy tuck, I use a special technique that helps contour the belly and minimize the risk of fluid collection, thereby obviating the use of drains. I find that my patients enjoy a much smoother recovery as a result.

I would like to get a tummy tuck with muscle repair, liposuction to the flanks and the back, a mons reduction, and a breast lift with possibly some implants. Can all of this be done at the same time?

The short answer to this question is yes, all of these procedures can be performed at the same time in a healthy patient. When I do a mommy makeover, I typically include a tummy tuck, some liposuction and some type of breast surgery procedure, whether it is an augmentation, a lift, a reduction, or any combination of these.

What is a mommy makeover?

It is a term that encompasses a number of procedures used to help a woman get her body back especially after pregnancy. It involves some type of breast surgery, whether it is an augmentation, a lift, a reduction, or any combination of these. It also involves a tummy tuck to get a flatter belly, and some liposuction usually of the flanks and the back to get much nicer curves and that snatched waist most women desire.

I have large breasts that started sagging after I had my last child. Do I have to have a breast reduction first before I get a breast augmentation and a lift?

One of the changes that women experience in their body after pregnancy is a dramatic difference in the shape, fell, and position of their breasts. A lot of women complain of saggy breasts and would like to know what can be done to get a perkier more youthful look.

Based on your physical examination and after thorough discussion of your goals, we will together determine whether you will benefit from a breast lift, a breast reduction, a breast augmentation, or a combination of these procedures. You do not have to get one procedure first and wait before getting another one because these procedures can be done safely at the same time.

I’m in my mid 40’s and I have 3 adult children now. I am a C cup and I would like to have larger breasts. I have lost 100 lbs and I think I will need a muscle repair and I have lots of loose skin on my belly. What do you recommend I get done?

I would recommend a combination of procedures that I typically perform in a mommy makeover. In order to get larger breasts, you will likely require a breast augmentation and depending on how much sagging your have you may need a breast lift as well. Regarding your loose skin on your belly, a tummy tuck will be needed to give you a flatter belly. As for the flanks and back, you may benefit from some liposuction, depending on what your physical examination reveals.

Can I safely get my C-section scar revised?

Absolutely. The type of procedure performed will depend on what is bothering you exactly. If you only want to treat a widened scar or an ugly scar, then a scar revision can be performed under local anesthesia. If you have a belly pouch that is overhanging and bothering you, then perhaps you may benefit from a tummy tuck with a scar revision. This will give you a much flatter belly and the recovery should be smoother than your c-section surgery.

I am interested in a breast lift and breast reduction, a tummy tuck, and some liposuction to the back. Can I get liposuction to the back during these procedures? I’ve gotten the sense that you are not able to be flipped during surgery.

You can absolutely get liposuction to the back while combining the breast surgery and tummy tuck procedures. This is something I perform regularly during my mommy makeover surgeries.

Can you remove my breast implants during my mommy makeover?

The mommy makeover is a combination of procedures used to address the changes that have happened after pregnancy. There is a component of breast surgery, a tummy tuck, and liposuction for body contouring. The breast implants can absolutely be removed at the same time, however, a breast lift may or may not be required and we would discuss this thoroughly during your consultation.

My breasts and body are just not the same now that I have had 2 children. What can I do?

Body changes are common after pregnancy and sometimes despite exercise and diet, the body doesn’t tend to bounce back as one would hope. Depending on your specific needs, a tummy tuck with some liposuction and a breast lift can help shape and contour your body for results you will love!

I have a BMI of 36, am I a surgical candidate for a mommy makeover?

Your BMI is slightly elevated. Ideally, we would like you to be as close as possible to your ideal weight or at a BMI of 30 or lower. This helps reduce surgical complications and also helps better maintain the surgical results longterm. I encourage my patients to get into a regular daily exercise routine and eat a healthy diet with an adequate amount of protein.

I’m done having children and I feel like I still look pregnant with an upper bulge after my last pregnancy. My stomach won’t change no matter what I do. Will a tummy tuck help?

Bulging after pregnancy can be a result of the separation between the abdominal muscles that happens during pregnancy. A tummy tuck will definitely help fix this bulging and give you a flatter appearing belly.

Can I get a mommy makeover even if I am not a mother?

Absolutely! A mommy makeover encompasses different types of procedures that I use to help reverse the effects of pregnancy and help women get their bodies back. Changes in our bodies cane caused by various reasons including pregnancy, weight gain, and massive weight loss. You do not have to be a mother to undergo the types of procedures that I perform in a mommy makeover. Depending on what your physical examination reveals, I can perform specific procedures that will benefit you and help you achieve the results you desire.

I would like to have 4 procedures done at the same time if possible: a tummy tuck, 360 liposuction, a breast augmentation and a breast lift. Can this be done? What do you recommend?

All these procedures can be done at the same time and are procedures that I typically do in a mommy makeover.

Can I get a labiaplasty during a mommy makeover?

Absolutely! Pregnancy can lead to many unwanted changes in the body and sometimes no matter what type of exercise and diet regimen you follow, your body just does not seem to snap back to where you would like it. Some women find that they have marked changes in their genitalia after multiple pregnancies. These can include looseness of the vagina, deflation of the labia minora and majora, as well as asymmetry between the lips. These changes can be addressed by a variety of procedures and this will be discussed thoroughly during your consultation.

I miss having full breasts. What can I do?

There are several reasons why women may lose volume in their breasts. With time, loss of volume and sagging of the breasts are inevitable. What options do you have to help reverse this and get perkier breasts? Depending on your physical examination, you may only require a breast augmentation with breast implants or you may need a breast lift with a breast augmentation.
